Karel Nunnink is a Certified Personal Trainer and a Resistance
Training Specialist, with over 35 years of coaching and fitness
experience. He is a former marathon runner, Ironman Triathlete
competitor, Masters Ski racer and an all-around good athlete.
At
an early age, he was attracted to the outdoors. He took every
opportunity to explore the jungles of Indonesia and mountains
of Vermont, where he was raised. The sudden heart attack, that
took his father's life, left a lasting impression on him. He devoted
his studies to Physical Education and Eastern Philosophy. His
coaching experience started with the Army's ski team, at the US
Military Academy at West Point. Years
later, he continued coaching at Green Mountain Valley School in
Vermont during the winters, and the National Chilean Ski Team
at Portillo in the summers.
In
the early 1970's, a small Vermont vitamin company was started.
Karel became one of their top nutritional consultants and salesman.
Today, Da Vinci Labs, a division of Food Science Corp, is one
of the largest in the world. In 1996, Karel's passion for fitness
became a full-time pursuit. He was a Personal Training Director
for one of the nation's top health clubs.
He
has received numerous "Excellence in Service" awards
as a PT Director and Trainer. He
was recently featured on Channel 7 ABC's "Forever Young"
segment. Karel's
dedication has made him very popular with personal trainers and
private clients.
He
can be found biking up Mt. Diablo, skiing at Alpine Meadows or
maybe windsurfing at the Delta with clients or just for fun.He
trains to be fit and healthy
not for the looks
not
for the money
. but for his wife, Francel and young
daughter, SARAH.
